Tradition Meets Diplomacy: Ambassador Isola’s Historic Six-Horse Carriage Ride




In a memorable moment from history, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola OFR was transported to Buckingham Palace in grand style, riding in a regal six-horse drawn carriage. This carriage, graciously provided by Queen Elizabeth II, served as the official conveyance for the ambassador as he journeyed to St. James’s Court. There, he presented his letter of Credence, formally assuming his role as Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.

The occasion was a remarkable one, showcasing both tradition and diplomacy. Ambassador Isola’s arrival, marked by the majestic carriage, highlighted the prestigious nature of his appointment and the deep ties between the United Kingdom and Nigeria.
