Ogun Shut African Refractory And Allied Products Limited Over Viral Video, Assures Victims Of Medical Care




Ogun State Government has shut  African Refractory and Allied Products Limited, ARAP, Ogijo - a ramming production company which crushes quartz stones into fine powder for lining of furnaces in steel companies over a viral video involving a formal employee.

In the video, Bartholomew Aniemeka alleged that the contacted contagious diseases which be called silicosis while working in the company until the left in June 2025.



 
While visiting the company on a fact-finding mission with officials from the Ministry of Environment and the Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency OGEPA, Commissioner of Environment, Ola Oresanya said the company will remain shut until investigations over the allegations are carried out. 

He therefore assured the public that the state government is on top of the situation while Bartholomew who is in stable condition at the TopMed Hospital in Ogijo in company of his sister who expressed concern over the health of her  brother in the viral video has been assured of proper medical care with series of tests set to be conducted on him to ascertain his true state of health adding that the state government will do everything possible to bring the issue to a logical conclusion.
