GTCO Food & Drink: A Drive To Uplift Small And Medium Enterprises In Foodpreneurs-Segun Agbaje
The 2025 “shared experience of culture”, cuisine, enterprise from Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO) Food and drink festival has come and gone. The celebration has been another applause for the leading financial services group for organizing the event in such a way no any unforseen emergency despite the huge crowd that includes both children and adults.
The three-day unforgettable event, which has started 8 years ago began on Friday, May 2nd to Sunday, May 4th, 2025, at GTCentre, Plot 1 Water Corporation Drive, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos. Attendees gave kudos to GTCO as the venue was well organized, arranged and managed without any report of regretting from all quarters at the venue.
The festival, which its purpose far beyond just culinary celebration, was to uplift small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria’s food and drink industry.
Also to enhance growth, inspire creativity, and deliver real economic empowerment to Nigerians, African and across the globe. It featured numerous food stalls, masterclasses with renowned chefs whose among were: Christian Duhalde, Tilewa Odediran (Tilly), Tanra Patterson, Thomas Zacharias, Lorenzo Cogo and Gabriel Rodriguez.
Others chefs include: Hardette Harris, Lasheeda Perry, Daniel Galmiche, Shalamar Lane, Hiroo Nagahara and various culinary delights.
The festival featured 204 free retail stalls, showcasing the rich diversity and creativity of food culture from traditional Nigerian dishes and regional delicacies to contemporary fusion cuisines, savory bites, refreshing beverages, and gourmet desserts. This aimed to promote the diverse angles of food industry and connect businesses with food enthusiasts.
While speaking on significance of the festival, Group Chief Executive Officer of GTCO Plc, Mr. Segun Agbaje, reiterated the leading financial institution’s commitment to continue promoting local businesses in the country.
