Tinubu's Reforms Are Working, We'll Work For His Second Term Election In 2027-Jandor

Dr AbdulAzeez Olajide Adediran aka Jandor, the Lead visioner of Lagos4Lagos Movement, who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), has said that he will work with others to ensure that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu wins the 2027 presidential election so that the people of his generation can take over after him.

Jandor stated this at his homecoming rally, which held at Asiri Bo open space, beside Federal Government College Ijanikin, Ojo, Lagos on Friday May 16, 2025.

Adediran added that the rally was not  his major official declaration, but that it was just an avenue to tell the people of his constituency that he is back into the fold of the APC.

"Our major declaration is coming on the day the chairman of the APC in Lagos State will give us. It will involve all the members of the Lagos4Lagos from the 20 LGs and 37 LCDAs.

"We didn't return to the party the way we left. We started the struggle in 2017 from this local government, but it has now spread. Today, many members of our group have been appointed into key offices by the state government and they are all doing well.

"Our conclusion to come back home is as a result of the reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It is only a selfish person that would say that subsidy must not go. If Tinubu is thinking of his reelection, he would not remove fuel subsidy.

"The reform is now paying off. Now, all the states of the federation are collecting much money from the federal government and they are able to do projects without borrowing money.

"Former governor Nyesom Wike, who is now the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), said that when he was governor, they were fighting the government at the center because they didn't have enough money, but that the story has changed today.

"We hear news that is not common today such as the payment of IMF Loan by the Nigerian government.

"I am supporting President Bola Tinubu because after him, the presidency is coming  to our generation. We have to support him because if we make a mistake of allowing someone of his generation to go take over from him in 2027, he would want to spend eight years, and there would be problem for our generation," he said

Jandor stressed that he was very happy to return to his family, while appreciating the leaders of the party, who he said stood by his group.

While welcoming Dr Adediran and handing APC flag to him, the Chairman of the APC in Lagos State, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, thanked those that have identified with him, saying that Ojo Local Government and Lagos State will continue to excel with the homecoming of Jandor.

"With Dr AbdulAzeez Adediran coming on board in Ojo Local Government and Lagos State in particular, we will continue to excel.

"The coming of his group into the APC will help our party. President Bola Tinubu laid the foundation that we are building upon today. It is the efforts you put into a system that will determine the reward you will get. If you can surpass those who have been there before you, you will get better results.

"Many of those, who joined us and are doing well are getting better rewards. The party would do everything possible to accommodate Jandor into the party from the grassroots. Let us build our home because it will determine what we will use to negotiate.

"We can use our votes as an investment to negotiate for rewards, which is what Dr AbdulAzeez Adediran has demonstrated," he said.

Pastor Ojelabi then promised that all the local governments chairmanship aspirants that did not win in the APC LG primary election that have listened to the leaders of the party would be rewarded.

The APC state chairman revealed that the party would start the campaigns for the local governments elections very soon.

He then urged those, who  lost in the election to support those who won and work for the success of the party at the polls.

While officially welcoming Dr AbdulAzeez Adediran back into the APC, he promised that membership forms of the APC would soon be available for his followers.

"This is the base of Dr AbdulAzeez Adediran. On behalf of the leadership of the party, the Governor and the executive members of the party in the state, I welcome Dr AbdulAzeez Olajide Adediran back into the APC," he said.

In his speech, the Chairman of Ojo Local Government, Hon Olushola Rasulu Idowu, who appreciated the Almighty God for the gathering, said that the APC will continue to make progress.

"This is an addition for Lagos APC and Ojo Local Government. We are having more members. I want all the members of the party to know that Jandor has come back and there is no fight or discrimination in our area. I pray that we soon will reap the benefits of what we are doing today," he stated.

Also speaking, the Lagos State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Hon. Bolaji Kayode Robert aka Bibire, congratulated  Dr AbdulAzeez Olajide Adediran "for coming back home in peace."

Bibire stated that some people would go like that and would not come back, saying that God has helped Jandor to come back, and prayed that he would not have any reason to leave the party again.

He said; "Jandor is our son and he has come back home. We pray that his coming back would be for good. God has blessed the APC, but it is now getting better with his homecoming."

Hon Olusegun Adebisi Ege, representing Ojo Constituency 1 in the state assembly, who was also at the homecoming, prayed that the togetherness will bring success and achievements to the local government and the state.

Ege stressed that Jandor will work with the party during the 2027 election to bring greatness to Ojo, Lagos State and Nigeria.

In his speech, Hon. Surajudeen Tijani aka Emir, representing Ojo Constituency 2 in the state assembly, said that Dr AbdulAzeez Adediran never left the party, but that his spirit was with the APC, while he was in the PDP.

Also at the event was a former deputy governor of the state, Mrs Sarah Adebisi Sosan, who prayed that Jandor will experience success, good health and blessings as he returned into the party.

The rally was attended by several followers of Jandor, members of the APC, youths and residents of the area.
