A simmering war is brewing between Adron Homes Properties Limited and property owners at the Treasure Park & Gardens, City of David Estate, Simawa, Ogun State. The duo are at loggerheds, over who should take charge of maintaining facilities in the estate. This followed going against court order, which states that all parties must maintain status quo. Treasure Park & Gardens is a moderate estate where Adron Homes sold land to interested buyers. The United Bank for Africa (UBA Plc), chaired by Tony Elumelu, is grappling with the aftermath of a significant system malfunction that resulted in the unauthorized withdrawal of over ₦180.5 million from customer accounts. The bank has initiated legal proceedings as it attempts to recover the lost funds. This development comes on the heels of another controversy involving the bank. Just weeks ago, the Lagos State Police Command arrested four UBA officials for allegedly stealing £138,924 (over ₦270 million) from the domiciliary accounts of international airlines. The Centre for Oil Sector Accountability and Reform (COSAR) has dismissed claims by the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) that Dangote Refinery’s business model poses a threat to competition and employment in the downstream petroleum sector. Justice Yellim Bogoro of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Monday, sentenced a staff member of Ecobank Plc, Solomon Ufayo, to one year imprisonment for cybercrime involving N2.4 million.   Ufayo was convicted after pleading guilty to a one-count charge brought against him by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.   According to a statment by the EFCC on Monday, the charge stated that between March 10 and 28, 2025, while working as a Relief Teller at Ecobank, Ufayo fraudulently posed as a customer, Ogunfodunrin Ajoke, and manipulated her account by posting false deposits and processing withdrawals totalling N2.4m without her consent.   He subsequently transferred the stolen funds to his own account in a different bank.   The charge reads: “That you, Solomon Stephen Ufayo, between the 10th to the 28th day of March, 2025, in Lagos within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, while working for Ecobank Nigeria Li...
