International Archives Week 2025: Society of Nigerian Archivists To Hold Roundtable Session June 11
As part of the activities commemorating International Archives Week 2025, the Society of Nigerian Archivists (SNA) will hold a Roundtable Session on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
The event is part of a week-long celebration running from June 9 to 13, themed: “Archives Are Accessible, Archives for Everyone.”
The session is scheduled to take place at The Mac Centre, 14 Babatunde Street, off Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, Lagos, at 10:00 a.m.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the National President of the SNA, Mrs. Yemisi Oyebo, announced that the roundtable will feature interactive talks, Q&A sessions with professional leaders, and open discussions on relevant archival topics; all in a relaxed, engaging atmosphere.
“This will be a hybrid event that brings us together both physically and virtually.
“We will explore critical themes such as access, control, inclusion, technology, and the relevance of archives, in collaboration with colleagues across the SNA network," Mrs Oyebo said.
She encouraged all members in Lagos to attend the event in person, while those outside Lagos are invited to join the virtual session.
The access link for the online participation will be shared with members beginning today.
Kicking off the week’s activities, members of the SNA were featured on a radio program organised by the North West Regional Group on Monday, June 9, 2025.
The broadcast aired in both English and Hausa, further promoting awareness of archival practices across diverse audiences.
