Alleged Infidelity: Regina Daniels’ Husband, Ned Nwoko, Blasts Sowore

Ned Nwoko has slammed Omoyele Sowore for backing the influencer, Tumo, who was arrested after accusing Regina Daniels of extramarital affairs and paternity fraud.

Nigerian senator Ned Nwoko has fired back in defence of his wife at activist Omoyele Sowore for defending Tumo, who was arrested after making sensational allegations that the senator’s popular wife, the actress Regina Daniels, had extramarital affairs and that her children were not fathered by him, Nwoko.

The controversy began when Tumo released a viral video claiming without evidence that Regina Daniels had been unfaithful and had multiple romantic affairs in Abuja. He boldly alleged that her children were not biologically Nwoko’s. Although Tumo initially retracted the video—claiming it was AI-generated and fake—he later doubled down with another video, repeating the allegations and even daring the senator to take him to court.

Nwoko eventually took legal action, leading to Tumo’s arrest. In response, Sowore, a human rights activist and publisher of SaharaReporters, publicly criticized the move and came to Tumo’s defense.

Speaking outside the courtroom during one of his own cyberstalking trials filed by Nwoko, Sowore said:

“This case is related to the cyberstalking case between myself and the so-called billionaire, Ned Nwoko, who is now a member of the APC… We came to court today with the hope that we can commence the so-called trial, which has stalled since 2022.”

Sowore’s frustration grew after the police prosecutor failed to appear, reportedly due to a “runny stomach.” He sarcastically remarked:

“Somebody said he’s having a runny stomach, it’s not an excuse. I came from Lagos. The fact that you have a runny stomach is not ordinarily an application for adjustment before the court.”

He added: “You cannot be using public resources to prosecute the citizens of Nigeria on behalf of an individual who feels insulted… If anybody feels defamed, go to court and invoke civil laws—not misuse state machinery.”

Ned Nwoko did not hold back in his response to Sowore’s support for Tumo. In a fiery statement, he said:

“This is who busybody jobless Sowore is pretending to be defending. Sowore and the boy are miscreants and nonentities.”

“He challenged me to go to court. He has landed in the appropriate court and justice will take its course. One million cyberbullying idiots can’t stop him from being prosecuted and punished as appropriate.”

The case is currently before the court, with Nwoko assuring the public that justice will prevail. His firm stance has sparked intense online reactions:

Another user, @izutech_1, noted that even controversial content creator VeryDarkMan (VDM) had previously warned Tumo.

“Omo even VDM warned this mumu yet he also insulted him… now you don’t even have a single evidence, person wife OOO una dey talk shaaa but it is well ❤️‍🩹.”
