Gateway International Airport: An OGD Initiative, A Dream Come True

- Pen Pecker .

As we celebrate the commissioning of the Gateway International Airport, it is important that we do not forget the origin and the visionary behind what has today become a major landmark for Ogun State and a significant achievement under the APC-led administration.

The concept and initiation of this laudable project date back to 2004, under the administration of His Excellency, Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel.

At a time when such a vision seemed ambitious, he laid the critical foundation for what we witness today.

The most demanding phase of the project, the foundational groundwork  was meticulously executed during his tenure. This early foresight and strategic planning made the later stages of construction more seamless and achievable.

The visionary leadership of Senator Gbenga Daniel, now representing Ogun East, deserves commendation for blazing the trail and daring to dream of an aviation hub that would boost economic growth and position Ogun State on the global map.

The Gateway International Airport stands as a testament to the OGD administration’s master plan for sustainable development and infrastructural advancement in Ogun State.

While we commend the present administration for bringing this project to completion, it is only fitting to recognize and appreciate the man who first conceived and initiated this noble idea.

Congratulations, Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, the initiator of the Gateway International Airport.. Your vision has truly become a lasting legacy.
