2027: Group Within APC Warns Against Destroying FIRS Boss, Zacchaeus Adedeji's Reputation



A group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), Movement For Fair Governance, has urged members of the party and the public to dispel the rumour that the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS) Chief Zaccheus Adedeji Adelabu is trying to lobby the leadership of the party to impose a particular gubernatorial aspirant on the party ahead of the 2027 general election.

This was contained in a press release jointly signed by Chief Taiwo Oyejola, Chairman, Hon. Akeem Bamidele Salami (Obina) Vice Chairman, Deaconess Mrs. Adedokun Esther, Secretary and Otunba Debo Olasunkanmi, PRO and made available to journalists in Ibadan the Oyo State capital.

The release stated that the disgruntled elements within the party should stop spreading the irrational statement that is capable of destroying the party in the state.

The movement while warning those spreading the statement disclosed that Chief Zackeus Adedeji Adelabu is a complete gentleman who has faced his duty diligently with maximum loyalty to the presidency did not at anytime endorse or have any preferred candidate but somebody who solely believe in the supremacy of the party.

The release also added that Chief Zaccheus Adelabu a committed member of the APC in Oyo State strongly believed in the leadership of the Party Chairman Chief Alake Adeyemo that He would not drag his name in the mud but to ensure that the most credible aspirant get the Party ticket in the State.

The Movement For Fair Governance however, urged the leadership of the Party under the leadership of Chief Alake Adeyemo to ensure that a candidate that will ensure victory for the Party in the 2027 polls is produced.

"The Association believed in the leadership of Chief Alake Adeyemo and other executives of the Party are credible enough to give us a preferred and acceptable candidate that will lead the Party to the promised land.

"We are very sure that if the Party produce an acceptable candidate , victory will surely be ours come 2027.

"The people of the State are already tired of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which is currently in disarray in Oyo State.
