A former President of the St Gregory’s College Old Boys Association (SGCOBA), Dr John Abebe, has highlighted academic, moral, spiritual and sporting formation and polishing as the qualities imbued in past and current students of the institution. Dr Abebe, President of the SGCOBA between 2012 and 2018, was speaking on the occasion of the 139 years anniversary of the college.  He said that the impartation of those qualities under wonderful tutors, led by the visionary and committed Catholic missionaries who were the Principals over the years, stood Gregorians out of the crowd and made students regard obstacles as mere challenges that would eventually help to bring out the best in them. “On my return from my postgraduate studies abroad, in 1979”, he stated, “I attended a meeting of the Old Boys Association and I was one of the youngest at that gathering. Ned Nwoko, have disclosed how they were threatened in their bid to untangle the excess charges and over deductions in Paris Club advances for which the Federal Government had refunded $13 billion to States and Local Governments Areas. The Centre for Justice in Africa (CJA) says it has uncovered a fresh plot by the International Criminal Court (ICC), Amnesty International (AI) and Transparency International (TI) to destabilise the Nigerian military through a "fictitious" report.   The centre, which raised this alarm at a press conference on Monday in Abuja, also revealed that the leadership of the Armed Forces of Nigeria are the target.  Speaking on behalf of the centre, Director of Communications, Comrade Dauda Owolabi Abdullalteef, noted that the three foreign groups have formed an evil alliance to undermine the Nigerian military. Comrade Abdullateef noted that each time Amnesty is unable to hold back the Armed Forces, it outsources the responsibility to Transparency International which then brings corruption allegations against the military.  According to CJA, both organisations and more recently, the ICC, are operated by the same cabals and set of subversive saboteurs.  The centre, however...

Current and former Speakers of various legislative houses in the South-Western part of Nigeria have agreed to unite in support of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The meeting, which was organised by the BAT Foundation, held in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, late Wednesday with the participants concluding that they all needed to collectively project Tinubu ahead of 2023.
