Speaker Obasa Leads Lagos Lawmakers To Visit Tinubu, Says APC Leader Hale And Hearty

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is hail and hearty, members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have said. Led by its Speaker, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Obasa, the lawmakers said they had lengthy discussions with their host. Photographs taken during the visit showed Tinubu all smiles and excited. IBEDC Cries Out Over Electricity Equipment Vandalism, Records N4Billion Deficit Monthly

  Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has disclosed that it captured 15,032 incessant cases of vandalization of distribution assets between January and July 2021. The Chief Operating Officer of IBEDC, Engr John Ayodele disclosed this while briefing journalists at its 2021 half-year press conference in Ibadan on Tuesday, adding that the company is running at a loss and experiencing a deficit of N4billion monthly. Ayodele said that the money paid by customers to the company also goes to Generating and Transmission Companies (GENCOs) operating in the sector as well. He maintained that IBEDC did not have the full power to reduce tariff, stressing that stakeholders must unanimously agree to review power tariffs in the country. A Professor of Public Administration, Daniel Gberevbie, says public administration in Nigeria can be made responsive to the needs of the people in terms of improved public service delivery. He said the country could achieve this through the family, the school, religious centres, establishment of core administrative schools, and proper compensation of public administrators. While citing the need for parents and older siblings to act as role models to their children at home in good values, priorities, and orientation, Professor Gberevbie said it was necessary because today’s youth were the public administrators of tomorrow.  He posited that teaching the child sound discipline and godly training as part of the school curriculum would help produce ethically sound future public administrators.
