Speaker Obasa Leads Lagos Lawmakers To Visit Tinubu, Says APC Leader Hale And Hearty





The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is hail and hearty, members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have said.

Led by its Speaker, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Obasa, the lawmakers said they had lengthy discussions with their host.

Photographs taken during the visit showed Tinubu all smiles and excited.

Among the members, who visited Tinubu were Hon. Temitope Adewale, Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation, Hon. Nureni Akinsanya, Chairman of the House Committee on Physical Planning and Urban Development, as well as Hon. Sylvester Ogunkelu, Chairman of the House committee on Overseas Investments and SDG.

According to Speaker Obasa, Tinubu was his jovial self and hr had discussions with the team on issues of national importance.

He added that the visit was necessary considering the position of Asiwaju as a leader in the country, a mentor and benefactor to many Nigerians.

"Asiwaju remains amazingly passionate about Nigeria. He is hale and hearty.

"We had a lengthy discussion about developments in the country; he was in high spirit, cheery, witty as usual and remains optimistic about the progress of the country," the Speaker said.

CSOs Demand Urgent Police Investigation Into Alleged Murder of Ishola Salami

Civil Society groups, including the Centre for Human and Socio-economic Rights (CHSR), Frontline Socio-economic Research Centre (FSERC), Campaign Against Impunity (CIA), Centre for the Physically Challenged and Peoples Rights (CPCPR), Community Women Initiative (CWI) and Workbond Initiative Network (WIN) have called for investigations into the death of Mr Ishola Salami by the Nigeria Police. United States of America (USA)-based groups; Ogoni-American Organisation, the National Union of Ogoni Students International (NUOS INTL USA), the Center for Democracy Human Rights and Anti-Corruption International (CDHRAC INT'L USA), and the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has written a letter to Shell Oil, United Kingdom on the purported onshore oil sale of Shell activities in Ogoni, Niger Delta, Nigeria.
