Ultimatum To Federal Government: Dapo Abiodun Should Stop Mocking The People, Ogun PDP Warns

Image
The Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is disgusted by the comments reportedly made by the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun that he is giving the All Progressive Congress (APC) led Federal Government an ultimatum of two weeks to fix the deplorable Sango/Ota-Abeokuta road or he will go ahead and fix it. The Ogun PDP finds the comments of Mr. governor as, not just laughable but also reckless. It further exposed the fact that the governor, in his usual manner still prefers to play politics with the pains and hardship of the people. The issuance of a two week ultimatum to the APC controlled federal government only goes to show that the governor was actually playing to the gallery. He was on a voyage of unbridled populism aimed at face saving. In all honesty, Mr. Governor is abundantly aware of the deplorable condition of the road from Sango to Abeokuta Members of his State Executive Committee ply that road to Abeokuta. The governor visited the same road l

2023: Why Nigeria Needs Asiwaju Tinubu As Next President

Image
The choice of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) as the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) created mixed feelings all over the country, and across the various divides in the nation. While some feel the ruling party made an error with his candidature, people with discerning minds see him as the best thing to happen to the country. They constantly recall how Tinubu started the revolution of Lagos State in 1999 and how his legacy has continued to live on with the state becoming the standard for development across the country. For those who feel Tinubu's electoral value and influence are questionable, they should wait till the time of the election and watch as the acclaimed Jagaban Borgu will sweep the votes and give victory to the ruling APC. Tinubu is like the Biblical David that never lost any war; he has never lost any election right from 1992, when he was elected as a senator of the federal republic under the Social Democratic Party (SDP). The even

Five Reasons Wike Cannot Leave PDP

Image
1. PDP has made him who he is today, outside PDP and politics, he has nothing. 2. Wike has shown to be overambitious and desperate in squandering River State funds in a wild goose chase  for the Presidential primaries under PDP, and furthermore shown more desperation to become Atiku's running mate after he has said he'll never become a VP candidate to anyone. 3. Rivers State has largely been PDP from the inception of democracy in 1999 and would remain so in the foreseeable future, with it without Wike. 4. It's too late in the day for Wike to move to any party because INEC deadlines has all passed. This is moreso with all his candidates from the House of Assembly to the National Assembly that are all in PDP, these are all men and women of immeasurable standings in their own rights, so even if Wike tries to leave which is impossible, all these candidates who have their followers and support base will not jeopardize their future for Wike. 5. APC would have been his only viable

Sit Tight Syndrome And Western Hypocrisy Against African Democracies ... The Donald Trump, Boris Johnson's Example And Silence Of World Powers By Raheem Ishola

That the west colonised Africa is not arguable and is never in doubt. During those period, Africans were treated like second class citizens and the colonial masters succeeded in imposing their culture and belief on the people of the continent. The aftermath left both positive and negative effects on the people and these are still being felt till date. After colonisation came independence, which led to sovereignty and self-government that ought to have severed African countries from the shackles of the western world albeit European and American countries. Indeed, it appears the western countries of Europe and America are not willing to let go and they have introduced neo-colonialism to further impose their will and belief on African nations. When some unpalatable issues happen in the corridors of power or even among the citizens of Europe and America they are seen as part of development and democracy and natural human errors, but when they happen in Africa, then the west condemn such
