Lagos APC Women Leader Felicitates With Governor Sanwo-Olu On His Birthday

Women Leader of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Jumoke Okoya-Thomas has congratulated Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu as he celebrated his 54th birthday on June 25, 2019. In a statement signed by the media aide to Okoya-Thomas, Mr. Oladipupo Awojobi, Governor Sanwo-Olu was described as a blessing to his generation, Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole. Okoya-Thomas said in the statement, which was released to journalists on Tuesday, that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had reasons to celebrate, adding that his 54 years on earth have been full of activities and that better years were ahead for the Governor. Okoya-Thomas recalled that just about a year ago, nobody knew that Sanwo-Olu would emerge the Governor of the state, saying that it was obvious that "the people's Governor" adequately prepared for the task of ruling the state regarded as the centre of excellence at this material time. Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Hon. Jumoke Okoya-Thomas has urged Nigerians to continue to defend democracy as the nation remembers June 12, 1993 Presidential Election, which was presumably won by the late Chief M.K.O Abiola. Okoya-Thomas also congratulated the newly elected President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Ahmed Lawan and the new Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila. These were contained in a statement released by Okoya-Thomas on Wednesday and signed by her media aide, Mr. Oladipupo Awojobi. Lagos Assembly Chapel Gives Out Awards To Deserving Outgone Members

The Lagos State House of Assembly Chapel on Thursday 6th June, 2019  gave awards to the outgoing Christian lawmakers of the State Assembly. Members of the Chapel who went round the respective lawmakers' offices were full of appreciation to the members for giving support to the Chapel. The beneficiaries were Hon. Omotayo Oduntan, Hon. Segun Olulade, Hon. Adefunmilayo Tejuoso, Hon. Lanre Ogunyemi, Hon. Oladele Adekanye and Hon. Dipo Olorunrinu. In an interview, the Chapel's patron, Hon. Victor Akande, who is representing Ojo Constituency I, disclosed that the Chapel decided to honour the outgoing lawmakers because of their sacrifices and supports for the chapel. The Lagos State House of Assembly has reelected Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa as the Speaker of the Assembly. Obasa, representing Agege Constituency 1 was nominated for the position by the lawmaker representing Lagos Mainland Constituency 2, Hon. Moshood Oshun and seconded by Hon. Yinka Ogundimu from Agege Constituency 2. Also elected during the proclamation and inauguration of the 9th Assembly on Friday 7th June at the Assembly premises was the Deputy Speaker of the 9th Assembly, Hon. Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni, who was nominated by Hon. Tunde Braimoh and seconded by Hon. Desmond Elliot. Also elected were the Majority Leader, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade, Chief Whip, Hon.
