NTDC Boss, Folorunsho Coker Honoured By All South East Traditional Rulers ...Installed Enyi Ndigbo

The Director General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC), Chief Folorunsho Coker, popularly called Folly Coker has been honoured with the chieftaincy title of Enyi Ndi Igbo ( Friend of Igbo Race) by the traditional rulers of Igbo speaking states. The conferment, which held on Friday November 26, 2021 during the One Day South East Tourism Summit in Enugu by traditional rulers of Igbo speaking states, was seen as another feather to the cap of the celebrated promoter of tourism in Nigeria. In a letter dated November 4, 2021 addressed to Folorunsho Coker and jointly signed by Ife II of Omogho, HRH IGWE R.N Offor and Igwe of Akpuguoze, Enugu State, HRH IGWE Dr. Amb. Lagos Governor, Sanwo-Olu Presents N1.39trn Budget Estimate For 2022

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday presented a budget estimate of N1,388,285,459,990.51 (One Trillion, Three Hundred and Eighty-Eight Billion, Two Hundred and Eighty-Five Million, Four Hundred and Fifty-Nine Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety Naira, Fifty-One kobo only) to members of the Lagos State House of Assembly. The 2022 budget, which was christened "Budget of Consolidation" by the Sanwo-Olu, has an increase of about N233 billion as against Year 2021 budget, which stood at N1.155 trillion. The Year 2022 Appropriation Bill has a capital expenditure of N823,351,128,104.10 representing 59 percent of the budget, while the recurrent expenditure is put at N564,934,331,886.41 representing 41 percent of the total budget. The budget, according to the governor, comprised a total revenue of N1,135,159,092,822.30 and deficit financing of N253,126,367,168.21. Chief Mrs Folashade Tinubu Ojo, the Iyaloja General of Nigeria has explained the circumstances that led to the closure of the popular Oyingbo market in Lagos, last Friday. The Chairman of the Central Planning Committee (CPC) of the 2021 edition of Odun Omo Iganmode Afeleja, Aare Dele Bankole met with social, NGOs and cultural clubs groups in Ado-Odo/Ota Area of Ogun State and sought their support towards hosting a successful celebration, a December to Remember. While seeking the support of the clubs and societies, at the palace of the Olota of Ota, Aare Bankole said that the clubs were all expected to donate into the central purse, adding that they were not expected to pay for canopy or chairs during the events, a new arrangement introduced by his committee.
