Delta Governor, Sen. (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, has congratulated businessman and politician, Prince Ned Nwoko, on his 60th birth anniversary. In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, in Asaba, the governor said Nwoko, a former member of House of Representatives, contributed immensely to political evolution in Delta and the development of his Idumuje-Ugboko community in Aniocha North Local Government Area. He lauded the former lawmaker, who re-presented Aniocha/Oshimili Constituency in the green chamber from 1999 to 2003 for his patriotic contributions to the state and country, especially with his Malaria Eradication Project in Africa. Idumuje- Ugboko Crisis: IGP Report Absolves Ned Nwoko Of Complicity

The office of the inspector General of police, IGP,Abuja has absolved a former member of House of Representatives, Prince Ned Nwoko of allegations of intimidation and harrasement of some persons in Idumuje ugboko community in Aniocha North local government area of Delta over a lingering land dispute . This is the outcome of a police investigation, following a petition to the IGP written against Prince Nwoko by some members of the community including one Mr. Chris Aligbe and others, all indigenes of Idumuje Ugboko. The petitioners in a letter dated 6th August 2020,had alleged among other things that Prince Nwoko a lawyer and business man, had in the past four years unleashed terror on the community, particularly against a claimant to the throne prince Chukwunonso Nwoko ” for not allowing him to take over peasant farmer ancestral land”. Contrary to a denial by billionaire owner of Rainoil, Dr Gabriel Ogbechie that he was not arrested and detained by the FCT Police Command over assassination plot against billionaire International Lawyer and politician, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko, reports indicated that Ogbechie was actually arrested and detained by the police. A police source revealed that Ogbechie was arrested and detained by the police on Friday December 4, but that he was later released on bail to his lawyer, Barrister Ademola since it was a bailable offence. Residents of Agege, Fagba and other areas of Lagos West Senatorial District have urged the Lagos State Government to send miscreants away from railway line and other parts of the state to avoid a repeat of the aftermath of the #EndSARS Protests that wrecked havoc in the state and all over the country. Lagos Assembly Begins 3-Day Public Hearing On Aftermath Of #EndSARS Violence

Lagos State House of Assembly on Wednesday began the process of bringing succour to the victims of the aftermath of #EndSARS protests across the three senatorial districts in the state through a 3-day public hearing. The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa had on October 26 set up a nine-man Ad-Hoc Committee to investigate the level of destruction of properties and loss of lives with a view to determine compensation for the victims.
