Singlehood And Marriage Ministry Inspires People With "BE MORE"

On the 24th of November, 2018, young people from different parts of Lagos gathered, not to a music jamboree, football match or an athletic contest, they gathered with anticipation, coming from different parts of the city with great hopes in their hearts for the 4th annual "Whatsoever State Conference," organized by Fulfilling Singlehood and Marriage Ministry International, tagged; BE MORE. The BE MORE Conference was designed to inspire every single delegate, among whom were single and married people, who were willing to BE MORE than they presently are.
Welcoming the delegates to the conference, the Conference Lead and Admin Director of the FSMMI 2018 Execution Team, Juliette Omamuli, described the ministry’s vision, explaining their commitment to helping single and married people to live fulfilling lives and achieve their full potentials through the help of the Holy Spirit. She called on all delegates to get ready to be challenged, inspired and imparted with the grace to BE MORE.
The conference kicked off with an inspiring talk show by the Welfare Director of the FSMMI 2018 Execution Team, Vanessa Odenigbo, along with Cynthia Nwosu and Ifeanyi Obeta. They discussed the ministry’s programs and charity projects from inception, showing their bearing on the ministry’s vision and how they had recorded supernatural feats especially in the year 2018.
The high point of the meeting was when the convener of the conference and founder of the ministry, Benedicta Izeze came up stage for the 1st speaking session with the topic, BE MORE. She began by explaining that Jesus gave us the license to be more when He said in John 14:12, “that greater things than these will you do”. She said that if Jesus gave us the license to be more, then we must not allow society, our economy, family background, gender, colour of skin, race, financial status, class or anything for that matter, put a limitation on us.
She went on to give 6 points of note to BE MORE. She said that to be more;
You must have faith. She described basic faith as believing that God is and that He rewards. “Faith requires that you believe in God and what He says about you”, she said.
You must follow the right people who have been where you want to go. She urged the younger ones not to get carried away following music and movie stars, but rather to follow people who have been where they want to go. “Following requires that you believe in the right people. You must be patient and patience requires that you believe in the process" she said.
She used the example of David that though he was anointed King, it took many years before he began to reign and yet he went through the process patiently. “Patience requires that you believe in the process,” she said.
"You must be committed for there is no such thing as patience without an object. The object of your patience requires commitment. "Whether it’s business or ministry or a career, you must be committed.  “Commitment requires that you believe in the daily disciplines,” she added.
Her words: "You must have a dream. You must allow yourself see yourself beyond your present state and see what you can become. Dreams don’t cost money so there should be no limit to how big your dreams should be.
"When your dreams are big enough that you need God to fulfill them, then God knows you are ready and He gets involved. “Dreaming requires that you believe in yourself.
"You must be ready to walk alone. When God calls you to BE MORE, many times, He will call you alone and it will feel lonely. Some people will leave your life because they no longer understand you, and for some others who don’t leave, you will have to walk away from them. but you want to BE MORE and you must be ready for this."
Stirred to be more, delegates received the words with gladness in their hearts as the second speaker, Pastor Damilola Oluwatoyinbo came up to speak on the 5 Rs required to BE MORE.
He talked about RESTLESSNESS, describing it as a requirement for the anointing to work and produce results, inferring from the life of Esau in the Bible.
His theme scripture was taken from the Bible Book of 2Kings 6:1-7 and he started by saying that no one thinks about your progress like you ought to and like you do.
Next R was RESPONSIBILITY, urging the delegates to take responsibility for the little they have, for that’s the only way it will grow.
He stated that people couldn't get more when they misuse what they have.
Thirdly, he said that it was important that we REACH OUT to those that could help take the vision in our hearts to the next level and ask for help.
Then he explained RELOCATION, saying that sometimes, what we need to BE MORE is to relocate; not necessarily physically, but also from the wrong mindsets and beliefs, especially from societal upbringing, as such mindsets are bound to keep us in a place of disadvantage.
He called for REDUCTION of the wrong things.
"You must reduce the unnecessary things to build the really important things.
“You must reduce sugar to get healthier, you must reduce the wrong things to get what you really want out of life” he said.
At the end of the conference, some of the delegates were interviewed and Benjamin Ogberefor had this to say; “this is a life fulfilling program and it has helped me to advance my thinking. I will wholeheartedly invite all single and married people to be part of this."
A participant, Folake said that she was really happy to be present and that she gained a lot. “I can be more than this. I don’t need to feel inferior because I’m single. I can be more and I need to be out there reaching out to people.
"You can be more either as a single or married person. I’ll gladly recommend the program to both single and married people because there’s more to being married or single.”
Another participant, Queensley had this to say, “Being more is being all that God planned for you to be.
"I have learned that being restless and agitated is not a bad thing. Thank you for the vision of FSMMI.”
The inspiring speaking sessions, question and answer session, talk show, playlet, and singing as well as the opportunity to make new friends gave the program a feel that would make every delegate want to come again.
