Workers of Addax Petroleum Development Nigeria, APDN, have resumed their suspended strike over perceived inability of the Federal Government and Management of APDN to address the alleged unfair labour practices and payment of their terminal benefits as Addax plans to leave Nigeria. Recall that the workers went on strike in August over the same issue until the intervention of the federal government through the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). There is already apprehension that the industrial unrest will further deplete the nation’s crude oil daily production by 22,000 barrel per day being the company’s production level. Addax, owned by China’s Sinopec Group with four Oil Mining Licences, OML 123, 124, 126 and 137, is operating the assets in Production Sharing Contract, PSC, with the NNPC Limited.  The Federal Government withdrew the operating licences from Addax in March 2021 over alleged failure to fully develop the oil wells. Creative Industries have been identified as veritable avenues to enhance and promote tourism industry in any given society. According to the Director General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC), Chief Folorunsho Coker, there is a nexus among culture, the creative industries and tourism, which he said has been engaged boldly at NTDC. Folorunsho Coker said in a position paper entitled; "Enhancing Tourism Through The Creative Industries," that "the need for a recalibration in approach is what informed the convocation of a global conversation on "Linking Tourism, Culture and Creative Industries: Pathways to Recovery and Inclusive Development," which would hold in Lagos from November 14 to 16, 2022 at the National Theatre in Iganmu.  "This will witness the participation of a wide range of tourism actors and stakeholders from across the world." The Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) has launched  a new product to reinvent the nation's tourism industry. Announcing the new innovation, while addressing journalists on Tuesday October 25, the Director General of NTDC, Chief Folorunsho Coker stated that the product is being launched to utilise the potentials of tourism for economic growth. Following the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign council, some Christians in the party have called for total boycott, reiterating their rejection of a Muslim-Muslim ticket.  The Concerned Northern APC Christians Forum, in a press conference today in Abuja, insisted that the ruling party must jettison its current combination of Bola Tinubu and Kassim Shettima to get the support of Christians.   In his address, General Secretary, Lukas Bako, said the inauguration is a mere charade, describing the APC's chances at the presidency as a failed mission. The Coalition for Truth and Justice (CTJ) has accused the management of Dangote Cement Company of fraudulently acquiring Obajana Cement Company and plotting to disrupt the peace and security in Kogi State over the government's insistence to recover its shares in the company. The group said rather than address the issues raised by the state government, the company has resorted to name-calling and underarm tactics ultimately causing turmoil and threat to the security.  The Coalition for Truth and Justice made this known in a statement today by its Secretary-General, Comrade Musa Attah.
