PDP Chieftains Urge Lagosians, Nigerians To Support Party In 2027

Two chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State have urged Nigerians to give the party a chance in 2027. Chairman of the party in Ifako/Ijaiye Local Government, Prince Muftau Oyelekan aka Alaga and its Chairman in Alimosho LGA, Alhaji Isiaka Shodiya stated this at an event in Ifako Ijaiye on Thursday. The event was organised by Diadem and Ifako/Ijaiye PDP to celebrate Nigeria at 64 and launch 100,000 ideological organic members within the LGA. With the theme; "Ideological Democracy as Against Palliative & Deceptive Politics," the event held at Tamina Event Centre, 196B Gudugba Bus Stop, Iju Road, Lagos. In continuation of its state-wide campaign for environmental cleanliness, the Lagos Waste Management Authority , LAWMA, has taken its motorized advocacy campaign, tagged “ War on Waste” to Dopemu-Iyana Ipaja axis, primarily to inspire attitude change among the residents. It comes on the heels of a similar road show, held along Lekki Toll Gate, Jakande and Ajah area of Eti-Osa Local Government of the state. Ogun Govt. Suspends Teacher, Queries Principal Over Pupil's Death

The Ogun State Government, through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, has suspended a teacher alleged to have beaten and punished one Master Monday Arijo, an SS2 student of Obada Grammar School, Obada, Idi-emi, which reportedly led to his demise. The incident, which happened on Friday, also led to the immediate arrest of the teacher, as the Principal of the school, Mrs. Tamrat Onaolapo was promptly queried for allowing corporal punishment to be used on the pupil against the established rules and regulations in the state. The principal was given 24 hours to explain her actions and why disciplinary actions should not be taken against her for acting against the instructions of constituted authority. Subsequently, a letter of condolence was sent to the bereaved family, commiserating with them on the sudden death of their loving son and promising to get justice for the family. Mr. Saheed Musa, owner of a parcel of land located on 35-37 Ogo-Oluwa Avenue, Iju-Ajuwon, Lagos State following the pronouncement of a high court in the state in 2019, has pleaded with the Chairman of Ifako Ijaiye Local Government, Prince Usman Hamzat to adequately compensate him over the land. The land with an existing perimeter fence and gate, which Mr. Musa said he is entitled to being the only surviving son of the late Alhaja Fatimo Tijani, who legally purchased it from Ogidan family in 1994, was said to have been forcefully taken over by one Alhaji Ola Alabanla Badmus and sold to Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government.
