The immediate past Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly,  Hon. Sanai Oyeniran Agunbiade aka S.O.B has emphasised the need for Nigerians to attach importance to experience in the legislative arm of government. Agunbiade, who represented Ikorodu Constituency 1 in the Assembly from 2007 to 2023, said in an interview with journalists covering the assembly in his office recently that the more a legislator stays in office the better for the society and his constituency, saying that he enjoyed his stay in the assembly, while it lasted.   The Nigerian children have been encouraged to exhibit the trait of love and care for one another and their environment. This forms the objective of the newly established Wuraade Adekoya Foundation, which held it’s maiden programme on Monday. The late Wuraade Adekoya died after successfully putting out a gas explosion that would have ended up consuming her environs if not stopped. In her memory on what could have been her 21st birthday, her family members, friends and associates visited the Tripple Passion Home Initiative (orphanage) Magodo, Lagos to extend hands of charity to children with special needs. They also visited the Trauma and Burns Centre, Gbagada, and LASUTH, where Wuraade was taken after the domestic fire incident before her unfortunate demise with gifts for patients. Well wishers and guests at the 60th posthumous birthday, which was organised for Prophet T.B Joshua at SCOAN in Ikotun area of Lagos on Monday, June 12, 2023, recalled activities of the celebrated cleric in his lifetime, saying that his likes come once in a generation. In his message at the event, Prophet Joshua Iginla, founder of Champions Royal Assembly, said that T.B Joshua was a gift from God, and thanked God that his generation was able to benefit from the late cleric. A group, Ogun Integrity Vanguard (OIV), has asked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the March 18 governorship election in Ogun State, Honourable Oladipupo Adebutu, to present himself for trial instead of writing frivolous petitions to the police over his vote buying scandal. Conference Of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) and civil society organisations (CSOs) under the aegis of the Coalition Of National Civil Society Organisations (CNCSOs) have demanded that the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu resign from office.  The CNPP and the CSOs issued a 14-day ultimatum to Prof. Yakubu to step aside or they will galvanised all democratic and legal means to force him to do so.  In a statement jointly signed by the CNPP Secretary General, Chief Willy Ezugwu and the National Secretary of the Coalition, Alhaji Ali Abacha, they explained that the INEC Chairman, who failed to deploy the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) it procured “despite billions of naira wasted on the 2023 general elections is not worthy of remaining in office and must not be allowed to continue to waste the nation's resources in conduct of future elections.”  According to the statement issued in Abuja, the CNPP and the CSOs...

It was recalled in a press release signed by the party's Publicity Secretary in the state, Hon. Hakeem Amode that it was on June 12, 1993 that the nation had her freest and fairest Presidential Election, which was won by the late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola, which was annulled by the government of former president Ibrahim Babangida.
