LETTER OF APPRECIATION TO THE PRESIDENT BY THE LEADERS/YOUTHS OF OIL PRODUCING COMMUNITIES OF AKWA IBOM STATE.



We the leaders/youths from the oil producing communities of Akwa Ibom State, heartily congratulate President Mohammadu Buhari on his well-deserved reelection and recent victory at the tribunal given his track record of integrity on the fight against corruption, his sterling qualities, which have endeared the President to Nigerians.

We believe that Nigeria is destined to become stronger, stable and more secured than it has been.

We appreciate Mr. President for having constituted a vibrant Federal Executive Council that is capable of taking Nigeria to the next level.

We thank Mr. President especially for the choice of our son and leader, His Excellency, Sen. Godswill Obot Akpabio (CON) as Minister of Niger Delta Affairs. It is our firm belief that given his antecedent and pedigree, Mr President will be able to achieve his loadable plans for the entire Niger Delta region and beyond.

We also thank Mr. President for the appointment of our illustrious sons into the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to wit; Rt. Hon. Engr Otobong Ndem as Executive Director, Project, and Rt. Hon. Victor Antai as Akwa Ibom State representative in the board and many other appointments given to indigenes of Akwa Ibom State, and we assure Mr. President that they will bring their wealth of experience to bear in their respective assignments.

We appreciate the President's vision for the Niger Delta region, especially with respect to the infrastructural development, in particular, the completion of the East/West Road, Construction of Calabar-Itu-Ikot Ekpene-Aba Road, Ikot Ekpene - Umuahia Road, Abak Ekparakwa Road and the Ogoni Clean Up project that are dear to his heart. While promising to maintain peace and order within our communities, we pledge our unwavering support and loyalty to Mr. President.

Long live the Niger Delta Region

Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria.
