Four More Undergraduates Under NASP Receive Scholarship Grants From RHI ...Oluremi Tinubu Insists Education Is key To Growth, Development

The Initiative by the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI, has given out  scholarship grants to the last batch of four students, who were not able to make the presentation to recipients from the 36 states of the federation and other organizations recently.

The grant, which is under the National Scholarship Programme, NASP, Tertiary Education is to the tune of N1m each, annually for the 4 years of their stay in the higher institutions with brand new computers.

Representing the First lady at the presentation held at the Office of the First Lady, State House, Abuja, the Wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman and Director of Education, Renewed Hope Initiative, Prof. Hafsat Ganduje told the beneficiaries to ensure that they keep their GPA very high as this would put them in a very good stead academically. 


These were contained in a statement signed by the Special Adviser, Media to the First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs Busola Kukoyi dated September 2, 2023

“We know that education is key. Without education, there cannot be development and growth anywhere. Also look inwards to see how you can be of help to your family and friends.

“Be more enterprising and look beyond just academics, so you do not have to wait for white collar jobs when you graduate," she said.

Responding on behalf of the Scholarship recipients, Stella Orji, a Mass Communication student of Imo State University, promised that they would not only make their parents proud but also Nigeria proud.

She expressed their gratitude to Senator Oluremi Tinubu for the Initiative, which she said is indeed a huge blessing for them and their families.

Education is one of the scopes of the Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI which also covers.Agriculture, Health, Economic Empowerment and Social Investment.

CSOs Demand Urgent Police Investigation Into Alleged Murder of Ishola Salami

Civil Society groups, including the Centre for Human and Socio-economic Rights (CHSR), Frontline Socio-economic Research Centre (FSERC), Campaign Against Impunity (CIA), Centre for the Physically Challenged and Peoples Rights (CPCPR), Community Women Initiative (CWI) and Workbond Initiative Network (WIN) have called for investigations into the death of Mr Ishola Salami by the Nigeria Police.
