Femi Otedola Confesses ...Speaks On Those He Cannot Work With

Image
Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola has made some shocking revelations.   He said: “What makes me fire people? Dishonesty is the primary offence. Indiscipline is another. Greed and selfishness are also high on the list. No matter how competent you are, the moment I uncover an act of deception, you’re gone.”   “How can you and I be in the room, sitting across from each other and discussing the fortunes of the company, when I know you are a common criminal in a shirt and tie? It would be impossible for me to keep you as an employee. Most of the people I’ve fired were not upright individuals.”   “Dishonesty, which stems from disloyalty, warrants immediate dismissal. Loyalty should be a significant consideration in filling positions. We all tend to look at competence-which is non-negotiable, by the way— but a competent manager who is disloyal will still ruin your company.”   “In my experience, loyalty is not a function of how long someone has worked for y...

Key highlights of Governor Abiodun's engagement include advocating for subnational role in AfCFTA, speaking on multimodal infrastructure, investment facilitation, policy stability, economic clusters and free trade zones. Governor Abiodun emphasized the crucial role subnational governments play in advancing AfCFTA, noting intra-African trade currently stands at just 15% of total trade volume, hindered by infrastructure gaps, regulatory bottlenecks, and fragmented value chains. He highlighted Ogun State's robust blueprint for economic transformation, including projects like the Gateway International Cargo Airport, Ijebu-Ode and Kajola Dry Ports, over 1,200 km of upgraded roads, and expanded gas reticulation networks. Image
The Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Hon. Philip Agbese, has lauded the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, and the service chiefs for what he described as tangible and strategic gains in Nigeria’s campaign against terrorism, banditry and other crimes threatening national stability. Agbese, who represents Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency of Benue State, said the current military leadership has reinvigorated counter-insurgency and counter-banditry operations in a manner that is restoring public confidence. He insisted that recent calls in some quarters for the removal of the service chiefs were “propaganda warfare” from terrorist networks, designed to demoralise troops and distract the public from ongoing successes. Speaking with journalists on Thursday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on his way to an international engagement, the UK-trained lawyer urged Nigerians to resist narratives that weaken the morale of ...

"Clampdown On Conscientious Objectors Is Antithetical To Democratic Values" - CSOs Calls On PBAT To Be Wary Of Deporting Egyptian Exiles

Image
On behalf of Coalition of Civil Society Organizations embedded in the struggles for human rights, democracy, Constitutionalism and social justice in Nigeria, we write to call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR and, all pertinent security agencies to be wary of inadvertently fallen into the snares of global, anti- democratic forces in the diplomatic handling of Egyptian exile, Citizen Alli Mahmoud Abdel - Wanis. It should be recalled that we have earlier emphatically condemned the arrest and detention of Abdel - Wanis, calling for his unconditional release. We are gravely disturbed with news of clandestine ploys by Nigerian government and its security agencies to depot Wanis. It is rather needless for us to paint the gory portrait of the regime in control of the reins of power in Egypt. Egypt has always been an intensively caste and closed society. Much more so under the Jackboot Despotism of Field Marshal Abdel Fattah el-Sisi since 8th. June,  20124. According to the global monit...

The Coalition of Citizens Against Banditry and Insecurity in Nigeria (CABIN) has issued a seven-day ultimatum to Zamfara State governor, Dauda Lawal, demanding that he disclose the locations of bandits and other criminal gangs operating across the state. The group warned that failure to act within the deadline would trigger mass protests and pressure on the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency in Zamfara. In a statement on Wednesday signed by its president, Comrade Solomon Charles Abutu, CABIN said the governor’s recent comments acknowledging knowledge of the bandits’ whereabouts amounted to an admission that he had chosen to tolerate, rather than combat, the criminal networks responsible for thousands of deaths, kidnappings, and the displacement of communities. “Governor Dauda Lawal has confirmed in his own words that he knows where the killers, kidnappers and bloodthirsty bandits reside. By that singular admission, he owes Nigerians a moral and constitutional duty to im...

What More Does Malami Want From Nigeria?

Image
By Ali Isah  Mallam Abubakar  Malami is not a happy man, he has never been happy. He is always moody, and irritating. He lacks a senile moment.  The reasons are not farfetched, they are certainly not from anything external, but basically from his internal self inflicted self-centered conflicts, a self-induced intention malady, which comes with very irritating symptoms. Most time those suffering from this incurable affliction are always against himself. For a man who came into office with nothing and as nothing but rose, not by any ding of personal positive efforts, but became powerful through deceit and satanic mechanization during the Buhari government,Mallam Malami has long overstayed as a freeman, he should be under lock and key by now. This is so because at that time, Mallam Malami carried out the supervision of  so many poor, illfated reforms which not only further impoverished the residents of the country, but ended off making nothing good, but only enough to m...

Dangote Refinery: Economic Rights Activists Condemn NUPENG, NLC over Threats of Nationwide Strike to Cripple Economic Life

Image
The Economic Rights Activists (ERA) have strongly condemned the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN), and other affiliated unions for their planned nationwide strike, which threatens to disrupt fuel distribution and cripple Nigeria’s economic life. During a press conference in Abuja, ERA’s Executive Director, Dr. Josiah Inuwa, described the proposed industrial action as a “reckless and unpatriotic” assault on the Nigerian people, warning that it would inflict severe hardship on millions while potentially serving the interests of economic saboteurs. The unions’ grievances stem from alleged anti-union practices at the Dangote Refinery and accusations of monopolistic control in the downstream petroleum sector. Dr. Inuwa, however, argued that the strike would primarily harm ordinary citizens—small business owners, transport operators, and families—rather ...
