We Will Develop Shomolu More Than Before -Lagos Lawmaker, Rotimi Olowo

The lawmaker representing Shomolu Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Rotimi Emmanuel Olowo has promised to further develop the constituency if elected for a fourth term in office in the forthcoming general elections.
Olowo, who spoke to journalists during the flag off of his campaign on Monday stated that he has spent the last 12 years of being a lawmaker in the state House of Assembly to take the dividends of democracy to the area.
The lawmaker, Chairman, House Committee on Local Government And Community Affairs, emphasised that the flag off was meant to intimate the constituents of the readiness of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the February 16th and March 2nd, 2019 general elections.
"Today is the flag off of my campaign and it coincides with the stakeholders meeting with the people of the area by Hon. Sikiru Adebayo Oshinowo aka Pepper with the people of Shomolu.
"Oshinowo, representing Kosofe Constituency 1 in the state house of assembly, is contesting for Lagos East Senatorial District, which includes Shomolu Area.
"We will later start our house to house campaign before the general elections. I am so passionate about my constituents. I have done a lot for them in terms of road construction and others.
"I influenced a lot of road projects to the area during the era of former governor Babatunde Raji Fashola.

"I have also influenced a lot of projects under this government and I have worked with Dr. Obafemi Hamzat during his era as the Commissioner for Works in Lagos State," he said.
Olowo promised to still work with Dr. Hamzat by the time he eventually becomes the Deputy Governor of the state to facilitate more projects to Shomolu area.
On youth empowerment, the lawmaker said that he had assisted those that were ready to work, but that some of the youths were lazy.
He said: "they talk about money all the time. The government cannot provide jobs for.
"I employed some youths in my private business, and some of them work in my filling station. I encourage them to be self-employed."
Eulogising Hon. Sikiru Oshinowo, Olowo said that he is very good in lobbying to bring about development.
He said that Oshinowo would help some of the constituents to be employed in Abuja and that he will assist the residents of Shomolu a lot.
"We have talked about IPP and it worked a lot in Shomolu. We believe that the new government and Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola will help Shomolu to have electricity and all the artisans and printers will have something doing and it will help night economy in the area.
"By the grace of God Shomolu will be better than what it is today from 2019," he said.
Hon. Oshinowo had earlier told the constituents and some of the traditional rulers in the area that he would use his office as senator representing Lagos East to take dividends of democracy to Shomolu area in abundance.
