Yayi's Man, Tunji Akinosi Loses Control, Orders Thugs To Destroy Houses, Farmlands In Ilaro

Ogun State Commissioner for Forestry, Hon. Tunji Akinosi reportedly threw caution to the wind on Wednesday April 6, 2022, when he allegedly invaded some parts of Ilaro Town with thugs and ordered them to burn down some buildings in the area.

Sources, who witnessed the show of shame said that Akinosi went to the town on a day that Senator Solomon Adeola Olamileka aka Yayi, went to the town to declare his intention to move from Lagos West to contest in Ogun West in 2023 under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The declaration took place on Empire Ground in the town.

It was gathered that Akinosi, who hails from Igbesa area of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government in Ogun State is a close ally of Yayi, who also hails from Yewa area of the state.

Akinosi, said to be vying for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives from Ado-Odo/Ota in 2023, had been informed that some portions of land meant for forest reserve by the state government in the town had been occupied by some people without permission.

"Akinosi then went to the town to see things for himself and take action on the matter. He went there with some boys, who he ordered to burn down all the houses on the forest land of the state government without any consideration.

"He stood right there and watched as the boys burn down the buildings and farmlands despite the fact that these people pay land use charge to the state government and were not given any prior notice," a source told us.

The source added that Akinosi was almost beaten by some women, whose houses were destroyed, but that they were pacified by the police officers around, who urged them to report the matter at the police station in the town.

Akinosi was said to have left the town afterwards as he feared an attack by the youths and some residents of  the area.
