Lagos PDP Greets Christians At Christmas ....Promises To Restore Her Lost Glory

The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has extend greetings to Christians on this year's Christmas and New Year celebrations.

According to the party's Publicity Secretary in the state, Hon. Hakeem Amode, "in line with the tenets of the celebration, which is rooted in giving, family and communion, we urge the people of the state to celebrate in accordance with their economical capacity and to use the occasion to pray for the nation, Nigeria and particularly our dear state Lagos state as the coming year signify a turnaround in the fortune of the state.

"Our party is also using this opportunity to urge the people of the state to expect a breath of fresh air in the new year as they look forward to celebrating 2023 Christmas in a better condition than they do this year because their welfare and wellbeing would be the foundation of our party when elected in the coming elections.

"We sympathize with family who would not be able to afford to celebrate this festive period due to the current economic hardship bestowed on the country by the ruling APC and promise the people that restoration of good time beckons in the government of our party when elected," he said.

Amode added that their appeal also goes to "organisations and individuals with means to extend hands of fellowship to the less privileged in our society to ensure that the love associated with the season spread across to everyone during the yuletide."

"In the same manner, we urge the youths to shelve their anger and resentment for the current hardship in the state and celebrate responsibly to ensure that we have and maintain a conducive and harmonium environment for celebration in Lagos state.

"It is our dear pledge that the next celebration of this nature in the state would be under a government who puts the people first in their priority.

"Once again, we wish every family and individuals in the state a warm yuletide celebration and a prosperous new year 2023," he said.
