Superstar singer, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has filed a preliminary objection to challenge the N2.3 billion breach of contract suit instituted against him and his music label, Davido Music Worldwide Limited, by Brownhill Investments Company Limited and its Chairman, Mr. Amaju Pinnick. The Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGi) has partnered with the United Nations Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) for a greener and more sustainable future in Nigeria. The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has mapped out plans to reassess and restrategise its sanitation (sweeping) activities on some highways across the city, to enable a thorough review of the operational modalities. The Appeal Court has today reversed the Sack of Abdullahi Sule as the governor of Nasarawa after the All Progressive Congress (APC) approached the court to seek redress against the tribunal judgment that sacked the governor. The Tribunal had declared the PDP candidate, David Ombugadu as the duly elected governor of the state but the appeal has just reversed the judgment and reinstated Abdullahi Sule as the governor. The Lagos State Government has reopened some markets in Mushin area, recently shut for widespread environmental infractions, including indiscriminate waste dumping. The markets are Mushin main market, Ojuwoye, Awolowo, Irepodun and Daleko markets. The Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, noted the temporary closure was necessary, adding that the act of indiscriminate waste dumping observed in those markets threatened public health and well-being of people in the area. Among the off-cycle elections that were held in Nigeria over the weekend, the Kogi governorship election appears to be the most surprising based on the results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Before now, the election in the state has always been between the All Progressive Congress and People Democratic Party (PDP); the APC have always come first while the PDP comes second but this time around, a surprising twist took place.
