Ado-Odo/Ota LG Chairman Swears-In Supervisors, Special Advisers




The Chairman of Ado-Odo Ota Local Government, Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu FCA, has sworn in nine new members into the Executive arm of the Council.
 
The ceremony, which took place at the local government secretariat, witnessed      the Oath of Office and Oath of Allegiance taken by the newly appointed Supervisors and Special Advisers officiated by the Director of General Services and Administration, Mr Akinde Adebisi.
 
The newly sworn-in members were;
 
Mr. Wale Anjorin as the Supervisor for Works and Housing.
 
Mr. Femi Agbeleye as the Supervisor for Agriculture and Natural Resources.
 
Mr. Rasak Paul Oyekan - as the Supervisor for Health and Environment.
 
Mr. Bojinu Sewedo Shedrack  as the Supervisor for Education, Information, Youth and Sports.
 
Mrs. Tijani Olaiya Abiola  as the Supervisor for Community Development and Women Affairs 
 
Mr. Kunle Ajayi Badmus as the Special Adviser on Special Duties
 
Mr. Kehinde Kudaisi as the Special Adviser on Community Development
 
Mr. Tunji Odegbile as the Special Adviser on Education, Information and Sports 
 
Mr. Sikiru Jameeu Abiola  as the Special Adviser on Agriculture and Natural Resources.
 
While delivering his speech at the ceremony, the Executive Chairman, Hon  Lawal Adewale Wasiu appreciated the Legislative Council of the Local Government area for thorough and speedy conduct of screening exercise of all  appointees. In his words, " I want to assure you that, all appointees   have distinguished themselves in their various fields and have been thoroughly screened to confirm their suitability for the positions"  . He urged them to work together with existing local government functionaries to implement government policies and programs effectively.
 
Lawal also emphasized the importance of upholding the Omoluabi culture, as exemplified by the Governor of the State Prince Dapo Abiodun, and urged the new members to demonstrate integrity, honesty and work assiduously for the general emancipation of the socio- economic well being of the people of Ado Odo Ota Local Government.He added that, we have resolved to be guided by good vision, well defined leadership and goal oriented Administration. He warned against favoritism, indolence, inefficiency, and corruption, stressing that delay and unnecessary bureaucracy will not be tolerated.
 
Earlier speaking, the former House of Representatives Member, Hon. Paul Olakunle Salako appreciated His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun CON and his Deputy Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele for creating an enabling environment for good governance. He urged the newly sworn in Supervisors and Special Advises to foster partnership with the Chairman to deliver the dividends of democracy to the the people of Ado Odo Ota Local Government area.
 
The Supervisor for Works and Housing,  Mr Wale Anjorin who spoke on behalf of the newly sworn in appointees appreciated the Governor of the State, the Deputy Governor, party leaders, party faithfuls, management and the people of the Local Government area for the opportunity to serve and promises not to disappoint them. He assured the people of quality delivery and that they will support and ensure that, the good  vision and mission of the Hon Lawal Adewale Wasiu led Administration are accomplished.
 
The Women at the ceremony affectionately tagged Alhaji Lawal Adewale Wasiu FCA as "ALASHEYIKA" meaning the man that has touched every area.
