Woman Cries Out For Help Over Alleged Threat By Estate Developer After Purchase Of Two Shops In Sabo Model Market

Lagos State -based Mrs. Abimbola Oladipo has cried out to the residents of the state over an alleged inability of an estate developer to fulfill his own part of the bargain after she had reportedly paid for two shops for her sister in Yaba area of the state.

Speaking with the media, Mrs. Oladipo revealed that she paid N3. 2 Million on May 14, 2021 to purchase a shop for her sister, who lives abroad at Sabo Model Market in Yaba, Lagos and that the shop was downstairs in the shopping complex and that she paid another N2 Million on May 17, 2021 for the purchase of another shop upstairs.

Oladipo revealed that on completion of the first batch of the shops only the one upstairs was allocated instead out of the two shops.

"Thereafter, the construction continued and last year we were made to pay an additional N1.8 million, though we were meant to have been allocated the second one in the first batch and the developer, Chris Onyekachi asked his secretary to take me and my sister to a place in Block 7 to show us what he allocated to us, I guess because we eventually agreed to make the payment though we should not have agreed to pay.

"To my greatest surprise, when the allocation time came, it was a different thing entirely as someone else was given Shop 2 Block 7 that had been allocated to us.

"He later gave my sister another place, which is where she is now.

"The shocking thing now is that he is threatening to collect this one again after she had started using it since October last year, who does that," she said.

Oladipo us however, pleading with concerned residents of the state and the authorities to wade into the matter as the whole incident has become an embarrassment to her and her sister.

"I don't know why Mr. Onyekachi is behaving this way, we have paid him for the two shops and I wonder what else he wants from us.

"He should just allow us to continue to take ownership of the shops since we have adequately purchased them," she said.
