May 29: ONWA Congratulates Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu

The Online News Writers Association (ONWA) has congratulated the newly sworn-in president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his vice, Alhaji Ibrahim Shettima as the duo just took the oath of allegiance to take Nigeria to the Promised Land.

In a statement released by the association and signed by its President, Mrs Omobola Oguntayo,  it urged the new administration under the leadership of Tinubu to hit the ground running and ensure the country is rescued from the brink of collapse it eventually found itself as a result of  bad governance experienced in the recent past.

The association also pledged its unwavering support to the new administration in ensuring its policies are projected even beyond the shores of the country while also enjoining the  new government to shun distraction and not  embark on any  initiative or policy that may appear precarious to the Renewed Hope mantra as entrenched in its agenda.

Also, the association charged the new administration to ensure the much anticipated dividends of democracy are delivered to all and sundry irrespective of religious, political or ethnic affiliation.

"On behalf of Online News Writers Association, I hereby congratulate you on your swearing in as the president of our dear nation, Nigeria.

"Our best wishes are for your success as you you prepare to take up the responsibilities and challenges as the president of this country. As you embark upon your new responsibilities, we wish to ensure you of our love and unflinching support to enable you deliver on your promises as a visionary leader.

"We look forward to working with your administration with a view to moving Nigeria to a greater height while we also wish you a very successful tenure as  President and Commander-in-Chief of Federal Republic of Nigeria," Oguntayo said.

ONWA also felicitated the amiable Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for his  swearing-in as the man at the helms of affairs of the state designated as the Centre of Excellence for  another four-year tenure, alongside his deputy, Dr Obafemi Quadri Hamsat.

The association equally pledged its unalloyed support to the administration, while urging the governor to consolidate on his enviable performance during his first tenure which has unarguably raised the bar of the state higher than that of any other state in country.
