May Day 2023: "Better Days Ahead"-JANDOR Tells Lagos Workers




The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 18, 2023 guber election in Lagos State, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (JANDOR) has congratulated all the workers in the state on the occasion of this year's International Workers' Day. 

Jandor reiterated his acknowledgment and commendation "of the incredible sacrifices and contributions of the workers to enhance the realization of the desired growth and development of the state."


These were contained in a statement by the Head, Media & Communications 
JANDOR4Governor Campaign Organization, Mr. Gbenga Ogunleye and dated May 1, 2023.

Dr. Adediran appreciated "the critical roles being played by the esteemed workers in ensuring that the economy of the state is not run aground by the corrupt hegemony that has held the state by the jugular over the years."

He stated that the state's economy would have been in a more dire state without the patriotic and unwavering commitment and dedication to duty of the workers.

"On this occasion of Workers' Day, I urge you to celebrate with hope, knowing that you have an advocate in me, and our shared desire of birthing a government that will truly prioritize the interest of the workers is still much on course," he said.

CSOs Demand Urgent Police Investigation Into Alleged Murder of Ishola Salami

Civil Society groups, including the Centre for Human and Socio-economic Rights (CHSR), Frontline Socio-economic Research Centre (FSERC), Campaign Against Impunity (CIA), Centre for the Physically Challenged and Peoples Rights (CPCPR), Community Women Initiative (CWI) and Workbond Initiative Network (WIN) have called for investigations into the death of Mr Ishola Salami by the Nigeria Police. United States of America (USA)-based groups; Ogoni-American Organisation, the National Union of Ogoni Students International (NUOS INTL USA), the Center for Democracy Human Rights and Anti-Corruption International (CDHRAC INT'L USA), and the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has written a letter to Shell Oil, United Kingdom on the purported onshore oil sale of Shell activities in Ogoni, Niger Delta, Nigeria.
