New Year: Celebration: JANDOR Felicitates With Lagosians





The Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic (PDP) in Lagos State in the 2023 general elections, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (JANDOR) has felicitated with the good people of the state on the occasion of the celebration of the new year 2024. 

Dr. Adediran congratulated all the residents of the state for surviving the challenges and economic hardships in the out-gone year.

These were contained in a statement signed by the Mr Gbenga Ogunleye, the spokesperson of the Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (JANDOR) dated December 31, 2023.

He decried the worsening state of unemployment, poverty rate, inflationary cost and the increasing depletion of the purchasing power of the average Lagosian. 

He posited that "the state could have fared better if the government has been intentional in policy execution by being people-focused instead of running an elitist agenda."

Dr. Adediran however enjoined the residents of the state to keep hope alive as they look up to the Supreme Court to redeem the judiciary in the State's election petition case before it.

He then wished the people "a peaceful and prosperous new year 2024 with hope of a breath of fresh air in governance and positive changes."

CSOs Demand Urgent Police Investigation Into Alleged Murder of Ishola Salami

Civil Society groups, including the Centre for Human and Socio-economic Rights (CHSR), Frontline Socio-economic Research Centre (FSERC), Campaign Against Impunity (CIA), Centre for the Physically Challenged and Peoples Rights (CPCPR), Community Women Initiative (CWI) and Workbond Initiative Network (WIN) have called for investigations into the death of Mr Ishola Salami by the Nigeria Police. United States of America (USA)-based groups; Ogoni-American Organisation, the National Union of Ogoni Students International (NUOS INTL USA), the Center for Democracy Human Rights and Anti-Corruption International (CDHRAC INT'L USA), and the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has written a letter to Shell Oil, United Kingdom on the purported onshore oil sale of Shell activities in Ogoni, Niger Delta, Nigeria.
