First Lady, Remi Tinubu Salutes D'Tigress Over Well Deserved Victory In Rwanda




The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON has saluted the Female National Basketball Team, the D’Tigress of Nigeria for their well deserved victory at the 2023 FIBA Women’s Afro Basket Tournament just concluded in Rwanda.

Tinubu said that the success of the team is a clear evidence of dedication, commitment and team spirit.

The First Lady noted that the victory of the D’Tigress is evidence of success in the horizon for Nigeria in every aspect especially as the Super Falcons will be taking on England on Monday in the group of 16 stage of the ongoing FIFA Women World Cup.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu seized the opportunity to wish the Super Falcons victory in the match.

This is the 4th consecutive victory of the D’Tigress National Basketball team at the FIBA Afro Basket Tournament.

CSOs Demand Urgent Police Investigation Into Alleged Murder of Ishola Salami

Civil Society groups, including the Centre for Human and Socio-economic Rights (CHSR), Frontline Socio-economic Research Centre (FSERC), Campaign Against Impunity (CIA), Centre for the Physically Challenged and Peoples Rights (CPCPR), Community Women Initiative (CWI) and Workbond Initiative Network (WIN) have called for investigations into the death of Mr Ishola Salami by the Nigeria Police. United States of America (USA)-based groups; Ogoni-American Organisation, the National Union of Ogoni Students International (NUOS INTL USA), the Center for Democracy Human Rights and Anti-Corruption International (CDHRAC INT'L USA), and the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has written a letter to Shell Oil, United Kingdom on the purported onshore oil sale of Shell activities in Ogoni, Niger Delta, Nigeria.
