Nigerian Youths Are Priceless Resources That Drive Innovation, Progress, Dynamic Talents-Remi Tinubu

 




As the world commemorates the 2023 International Youth Day, the Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has described the Nigerian youths as priceless resources that drive innovation, progress, and dynamic talents. 

While applauding the youths in a statement issued on Saturday August 12, 2023, which she personally signed, for the crucial role they all play in driving socio- economic advancements in Nigeria, the First Lady said that "you are indeed "torchbearers of tomorrow."

"Great opportunities abound for those who are physically and mentally strong hence I admonish you to take your health seriously especially as the HIV/ AIDS scourge is still prevalent. 

"A healthy youth is a vibrant nation. Together we will build a greater and better Nigeria. Happy International Youth Day," she said.

CSOs Demand Urgent Police Investigation Into Alleged Murder of Ishola Salami

Civil Society groups, including the Centre for Human and Socio-economic Rights (CHSR), Frontline Socio-economic Research Centre (FSERC), Campaign Against Impunity (CIA), Centre for the Physically Challenged and Peoples Rights (CPCPR), Community Women Initiative (CWI) and Workbond Initiative Network (WIN) have called for investigations into the death of Mr Ishola Salami by the Nigeria Police. United States of America (USA)-based groups; Ogoni-American Organisation, the National Union of Ogoni Students International (NUOS INTL USA), the Center for Democracy Human Rights and Anti-Corruption International (CDHRAC INT'L USA), and the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has written a letter to Shell Oil, United Kingdom on the purported onshore oil sale of Shell activities in Ogoni, Niger Delta, Nigeria.
