2nd Ogun Elu Day: Olagoke Donates Drugs To 2000 Participants

 



 


No fewer than 2000 members of the public, who participated in the second Ogun Elu, Aare Alasa Day were tested by professional medical personnel on various ailments, while drugs worth millions of naira, including mosquito nets, were distributed during the event, which was an initiative of Professor Sabit Ariyo Olagoke.
 
While speaking with the participants in a lecture titled; "Leadership And the Three Rings of Life" at the Centre for Religious Cooperation and Tolerance (CRCT) multipurpose hall, Wakajaye, Ibadan, the Mogaji Agba of Ogun Elu, Aare  Alasa dynasty, Alhaji, (Professor) Sabit Ariyo Olagoke JP stated that only credible leader that is purposive, visionary, emotionally and passionately patriotic and ready to sacrifice his best to serve the people with all diligent can be a goal getter.
 



Some of the tests carried conducted on the participants included blood sugar, high blood pressure, malaria parasite and many more, and journalists were not left out.
 
Participants, who spoke with journalists, expressed their satisfaction with the tests and the indiscriminate distribution of the drugs, while Professor Olagoke was commended for the gesture.
 
While speaking with journalists at the event, Dr. Rafiu Oladosu Waheed commended the efforts of Professor Olagoke and advised the beneficiaries of the drugs to make sure they use them according to the prescriptions
 
"I commend the good work of Professor Olagoke, this is not the first time he is doing this and I am using this opportunity to tell the beneficiaries that they should comply with the instructions of the doctors because health is wealth," he said.
 
Prof. Olagoke however, called on the government to pay attention to healthcare, while he advised that a substantial percentage of the annual budget should be given to the health sector.
 
The Arole Ogun -Elu, while advising the youths at event, urged them not to compromise  quality, standard and be goal- getters as youths.
