Shafaudeen Joins Osun League of Imams

The Shafaudeen In Islam Worldwide recently received a significant leap when on Thursday January 5, 2023, the Chief Imam of Iwoland in Osun State, Alhaji Fatai Obelawo Olododo officially incorporated Iwo Branch of the Islamic group into the Osun State Council of Imams and Alfas.

Olododo made the pronouncement when the Founder, Spiritual Head and Grand Imam of Shafaudeen In Islam Worldwide, Professor Sabit Ariyo Olagoke paid a  courtesy on him in Iwo.

While speaking at the meeting, which had all the Council Members of the Chief Imam in attendance, Alhaji Olododo  commended the Iwo Branch of Shafaudeen for being a formidable branch of the organisation.

The cleric stated that the humility and consistency of their Founder, Professor Olagoke JP, remains the reason the Islamic sect is waxing stronger.

In his response, Professor Olagoke stated that Iwoland is the best in the practice of Islam and that the visit was significant because the present Olubadan of Ibadanland in Oyo State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Olalekan Balogun, is from Iwoland.

While praying for Iwoland, Professor Olagoke called on religious leaders to follow the Holy Book so as not to lead their followers astray, adding that they should educate their congregation on why they should participate in the forthcoming general elections to elect credible leaders.

"I am using this opportunity to commend the Iwo Branch of Shafaudeen In Islam because if they had spoilt our name we will not be incorporated into the League of Imams and Alfas," he said.

Olagoke however, pledged to ensure that Shafaudeen and other members of the League work together to promote Islam.

Professor Olagoke had earlier visited Wings College, owned by Professor Daud Lai Olurode, where the two Professors pledged to work together to boost education among Muslims.

While welcoming Professor Olagoke to the college, Professor Olurode stated that he was elated to see someone he knew and heard of on the radio, television stations and newspapers for many years.

"I am happy to receive you today, I have been reading, watching and listening to you on the broadcast and print media for so long and I am happy to be associated with you," he said.

Professor Olagoke later donated some of his books to the school.
