Shafaudeen Boss, Sabit Olagoke Counsels Parents On Critical Areas Needed For Growth of Children





Physiological needs, safety and security, social needs, self esteem and actuallisation have been identified as the basic ingredients for child's growth and development.

This was contained in a lecture entitled; "Child Rearing and Wellness For growth and Development" delivered by the Founder and Spiritual Head of Shafaudeen in Islam Worldwide, Professor Sabit Ariyo Olagoke JP during the opening ceremony of the sect's annual convention (Ishrat 2023) at Christ Church Primary School, Wakajaye, Ibadan.

Professor Olagoke, who disclosed that a child's complete raising covers the scope of secured and child custody, access to balanced diet,  nurturing through through his or her impressionable age of opinion formation and management of the critical and crisis ridden regime of the adolescent stage into a reliable state of adulthood, stated that total empowerment of children is a human right and a requisite for sustainable development.

Olagoke, while calling on the government to be proactive in the care for children, also advised teachers in all elementary places of learning to avoid hostility towards the children to ensure fast and accurate learning processes.

"Although nature influences growth and development of children, nurture contributes much more. So, the way parents nurture and the way government nurture as well as other stakeholders support children and youths are parts of the most critical factors for their healthy growth and development," he said.

The event also featured Rasool Cup Under-18 Football Competition.

At the end of the final match of the football Competition, CCC Rehoboth FC lifted the trophy.

Rasool Cup Under-18 football competition is an annual event and one of the programmes commemorating the Annual Ishrat International Convention of Shafaudeen in Islam Worldwide.

The competition had  24 football teams from all the local government areas of Ibadan participating.


Prof. Olagoke, who is also the Mogaji Ogun- Elu, Aare Alaasa Dynasty, while speaking with the youths during the Annual Olagoke Education Legacy; "O"Leg at the Centre for Religious Cooperation and Tolerance, (CRCT), urged the stakeholders in the education sector to avoid abuse and fraud.

Olagoke also said that religious leaders to ensure that the  people have sense of unity, culture of love, integrity and nobility for a credible, reliable, knowledgeable and wisdom-driven and pious leaders to emerge and drive the nation.

While answering questions from journalists after the symposium which had in attendance pupils from various private and public schools, Olagoke charged whoever the next President of Nigeria must urgently work on how the country will not disintegrate.
